Video: BMW releases X5 M testing video

After all the spy shots and denying, BMW today confirmed that it is indeed doing an M version of the BMW X5. The German automaker today released footage of the BMW X5 M in testing on its BMW-web.tv site.

While we have little details on the BMW X5 M we have heard that the high-performance SUV will be powered by the 4.8L twin-turbo V8 that makes 400-hp from the X6 xDrive50i.

No word on when the BMW X5 M will make its world debut but we're guessing BMW strategically released the video today since they may have something up their sleeve for the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

Follow the jump for the video.
